About Wilbur

It started with a lunch in California.

In 2018, at an insurance conference in California, Brian Siemsen and Arun Shankar sat down to lunch, after days of listening to claims handlers describe their reality. Multiple systems. Disparate data. Rising performance pressure and rising expectations, and none of it met by modern technology.

By the end of that lunch, they had agreed to build something different: a platform where insurers, MGAs, brokers, TPAs, suppliers, contractors and policyholders could finally interact around a single claim.

Wilbur was born.

Built by people who know claims.

Wilbur was built from the ground up by subject-matter experts carrying more than 30 years of insurance experience. Technologists at heart, but with their roots in deep domain knowledge of insurance, its practices and its partnerships.

And it was built at a turning point. In 2018, new technology, modernisation and rising regulatory expectation arrived together, so compliance isn’t bolted on. It’s designed in.

Where that’s taken us.

That foundation has carried Wilbur across multiple geographies, more than 55 customers, and millions of claims over the better part of ten years.

We stay on the edge of what’s needed the same way we started: directly connected to our customers, whose success is the company’s highest focus, and to the incredible team built around them.
